Fairy lakes in Croatia

The lakes are Plitvice in Croatia and is really fairy. As the water flow in limestone of the region are concentrated in small or large cavities. Over the years sediment carrying gather there they encounter obstacles, creating natural dams which in turn created a series of beautiful lakes, caves and waterfalls.


There are currently around 20 lakes, most of which are connected to each other . The area is popular tourist destination since the years even the united Yugoslavia.
Lakes and the namesake park, ie the space that surrounds them have joined since 1979, the World Heritage List of UNESCO as an area of outstanding natural beauty. As we can easily imagine the area is rich in fauna and flora.
